Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 10, 2026
Qubittron Consulting Inc. ("Qubittron," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Orbuc global sentiment platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web and mobile applications.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly and information gathered automatically:
- Account Information -- email address and username you provide during registration.
- Voting Data -- the votes you cast on topics, including your selected position on a four-point scale.
- Device Information -- device type, operating system, browser type, and app version to ensure compatibility and improve performance.
- IP-Based Location -- approximate geographic location derived from your IP address to power regional sentiment breakdowns. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the service -- authenticate your account, record your votes, and display results.
- Analytics and improvement -- understand usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the platform experience.
- AI content generation -- generate topic summaries, sentiment analysis, and content insights using aggregated, anonymized data.
- Notifications -- send push notifications about new topics, voting reminders, and badge achievements when you opt in.
3. Anonymous Voting
Your votes are anonymous to other users. No other user can see how you voted on any topic. However, we do store vote records internally linked to your account for service operation, including preventing duplicate votes, computing badges and streaks, and generating aggregated analytics. We never publicly associate your identity with your individual votes.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the following service providers, strictly for operating the platform:
- Supabase -- database hosting, authentication, and storage.
- OpenAI -- AI-powered topic generation and sentiment summaries. Only aggregated, anonymized data is sent.
- Firebase -- push notification delivery for mobile and web clients.
- Parallel.ai -- web source enrichment for topics. Only topic titles and descriptions are sent to this service; no personal data is shared.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Qubittron and its users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized voting statistics may be retained indefinitely as they cannot be linked back to you.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data and request a copy.
- Correct inaccurate information in your account.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@qubittron.com.
7. Canadian Privacy Rights (PIPEDA)

8. International Data Transfers
Your personal information may be processed on servers located outside of Canada. In particular, our third-party service providers -- including Supabase and OpenAI -- may process data in the United States.
When your data is transferred internationally, we ensure adequate protection through contractual safeguards and by selecting service providers who maintain robust security practices and privacy commitments. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information receives a level of protection comparable to that required under Canadian law.
9. Cookies
We use essential session cookies for authentication and maintaining your logged-in state. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. These session cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled.
10. Children's Privacy
Orbuc is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.
